Most people who buy into this aren't buying for Office, they're buying for the 6x 1TB of OneDrive storage which blows competitor cloud pricing out of the sky. For the price you get: cross device support, ransomware prevention, mass delete prevention, versioning, file sharing between accounts... For those concerned with privacy from Microsoft for certain things, you can use something like Cryptomator to encrypt your data before uploading.

They stack up to a certain length.
This is not the greatest deal but we may not see any better ones either. I think a good deal is around $50 for 12 months of family subscription.

most people don't know that the basic versions of Microsoft Office are free , if you use the web versions of Office.

Microsoft 365 for the web offers a free version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 apps. You can access these apps through a web browser by signing up for a free Microsoft account. Additionally, students and educators may be eligible for a free Microsoft 365 Education plan, which includes the full suite of Office apps

Microsoft Defender is fine. It is free for Windows. Make sure you have an adblocker install (UBlock Origin).

If you download something, you can use virustotal.com to scan it for you.

Do you get a code to redeem after buying 365? Or do you have to manage through their site, like the amazon, newegg deals.

I recently got this deal with malwarebytes to try out and I'm liking it. Blocks ads, scans every file and runs auto scans without being obnoxious with it's own pop-ups. If you have multiple devices both Norton and McAfee are still good.

Didn't they raise prices this year? The cheaper bundle discounts are probably gone

I had a 365 Ed plan through my former university as an alumni but pretty sure the university admins had access to my files. And eventually they reduced me from 1TB to 100GB . I have about 260gb but I cant add more files because it says I am 221% over storage.

Yes, I think so . I will still wait for a better deal as I have until 2027 though I agree it may not come
