They really should have put like a small notch in SD Express cards so they can be inserted into the old microSD card slots, but then old microSD cards couldn't be inserted into an SD Express-only slot.

I don't have either Switch, but the Switch 2 should be able to read screenshots and videos from plain microsd cards - just not play games or use saves. So, the slot wouldn't be express-only, even if that were a mechanical option.

Apple charges $300 to go from 128GB to 512GB on the iPhone 16 (what a rip off). Most flagship phones are like this now.

I miss the days when most smartphones had SD card slots.

Is it fine to use this 256G card on a Samsung tablet? I assume this micro sd card is not solely designed for game devices.
I added a different 256G micro card at $19.99 to my Amazon shopping cart. Then Amazon raised it to $22.99 before I check out. I am not going to pay the increase.

That's annoying. They should have at least let you use an SD for game data archiving even if they didn't want to support game play directly from the SD card because of speed constraints.
