It is a bit of a curse. My 2080 struggles with quite a few games. Some times I need mods to make the game functional at that resolution, and others don't even support it.

Web pages aren't designed for this so if you full screen a web page the odds are it'll either be comically small and centered or it'll be stretched out across the entire monitor.

When it works, it works though.

I have this monitor. The "Smart" features are infuriatingly bad, and cause the monitor to grind to a standstill even when not using them. All so Samsung can make a quick buck on your personal data. If you switch inputs a lot it will drive you insane.

Pretty screen, especially when running HDR. But the crippled processor in this monitor turn fantastic specs into a mediocre experience.

If you switch inputs a lot(I do between personal and work machines) get and old samsung remote.
I think mine is from 7100 series 40 inch Samsung TV. It has dedicated input button and works on this monitor. .Much easier to switch Inputs.

G95SC a better buy then comparatively or does it suffer the same fate?

I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure that's my exact monitor.

Yeah the price is cheaper so Samsung can sell your data. I will never buy another Samsung anything. I cannot think of a single product they make that isn't trash.

that's a shame, I have 2 samsung monitors and the OSD menus are horrible and frustrating. Was hoping software updates would fix them, or newer models would be better but doesn't seem to be the case. Wondering if maybe LG or some other brand would have better luck with switching inputs or auto detecting better. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The software updates make everything worse. More bullshit "apps" and I imagine more data collection. Since updating last, my monitor is even less responsive. Decided to completely delete wifi settings. If it magically re-enables the setting, I have a new router now so it wouldn't be able to access anyway. The monitor is marginally faster if it doesn't access the internet.

Since this one was so expensive and "why do you need another monitor anyway???!!!" it will be a hard sell justifying buying a new monitor at any point in the next ten years. I'd probably say LG is a relatively safe bet. I like their products.

Check out the MSI 49" 240 Hz MPG 491CQPX monitor. I have two of these for my gaming and trading setup,this particular model G95SD is glarefree yes it makes a big difference lol.
You buy any other 49 inch without glarefree option,then enjoy the pain
