I have $540 of credit left. Used it for several months for our family to go out to one of our favorite restaurants ... we were able to go every week due to the large discounted gift cards and in app purchases. Suddenly last week the restaurant no longer accepted payment with inKind. Now there are no other places within 30 miles at all, and none I would want to go to within 50 miles.

Just beware this unsustainable business model could collapse altogether.

Those in app things are never 40% off. look closely. They are sometimes a 40% bonus on cash. Which really equates to a 28% discount. Don't get fooled! Clever marketing for sure.

Cashback don't work either if you're using the GC credits too

Bummer. The last Costco InKind deal was $100 for $60 (aka 40% off). I bought six of those and I guess I should've bought more.
How did you buy 6? Maximum was 5.

I got in on the $60 for$100 inkind card a while back and used it while in Vegas on vacation. I had trouble paying through the app the first time I used it. It just hung and took forever.. several long minutes. I force quit the app finally and found that it did go through though. I asked the waiter to check to be sure and it was fine.

After that though it ran through perfect each time and better yet the waiters everywhere I used it were very familiar with it. With the $25 credit deal my meals on the card were pretty close to 50% off.

I have no trips planned or I'd buy more.

If you are new, don't forget to get a referral link to get $25 off $50 for first visit.
I will get one or two his time too, you also get 2% back on Costco if exec member so this is a no brainer. last time I got 3 for $60, and this deal is still pretty good, but I see some restaurants disappearing from the list which isn't a good sign. Not a good idea to hold a lot if you're not planning on using them in next few weeks.

It was two different transactions. Never ran into a limit.

Question for those putting inKind to decent use. How many restaurants on their list have claimed they can't process inKind?

Just got on board in nyc. Used it at sushi by bou a half a dozen times, zero issues. Went to a random wine bar and they claimed their new poc devices can't process it. To me that's the equivalent of saying they can't process a credit card.

Just want to be sure this is not a scammy company before I dump a chunk of money in there

I/ve been using inkind for the last year or so. i really don't know how it's sustainable - I'm literally eating the same food as everyone else around me and paying 35% less. On top of that, if you sign up for their emails, they often send $ off coupons. I use it so much that I actually sign up for their yearly subscription that gives me $50 off $150 once a month. If you do sign up, definitely use ask for a referral link - you get $25 off $50 for your first purchase. and the $25 is really 25 *0.65 -- so you're spending $16.25 + tip on a $50 meal!
Like so much else in modern times, it's being subsidized by VC money. What the end game is I'm not sure but they talk about working with their partner restaurants to provide funding and other services? Don't know, don't care. As we say in the credit card churning biz, earn and burn baby. Odds of something drastically changing any minute are very high.

I've used it at probably 10 different restaurants now. Whether paying with the check number at sit down or doing a "enter your own tab amount" for counter service places, they've been completely fine

I originally thought the same and thought they were same as the Costco deal during BF. When I did the calculation, the discount is less than 30% off. Anything from costco that is $70 or less for $100 is pretty hot. Anything between $70 and $75 are somewhat "normal".

I had not encountered problem like this, but there are places where you have to order through the restaurant's site and pay there instead of ordering with your server. I saw that when I looked up the restaurant and didn't read through the whole thing. When we were seated, I just went ahead and ordered with the server. Unfortunately due to whatever logistic reasons, their restaurant chain just couldn't get it processed through the inKind app (I was surprised they have 30+ locations near me), so I had to pay regularly. Lesson learned that something like this could happen.

If the restaurant is not taking it, I would email inkind to ask what's going on and see what they say. If they are on their app, I assume inkind GC is accepted. If not, they should take themselves off temporarily?

I've had issues where I didn't get great signal in a restaurant. Had to go outside to get it to go through.

I've never had that happen, so hopefully just an isolated incident.

Bought some previously...Within a few months of buying. Nearly every restaurant in the area that we planned to use them for was no longer part of the InKind network.Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing.

Just to prevent the unknown variables, I would recommend using immediately if purchasing this.

Just bought 2. Got the email and one code worked right away. The other says it has already been redeemed. Reached out to Costco support for a resolution. Definitely would recommend checking the codes ASAP upon receiving.
This happened to me this morning. I purchased 1 and waited a few hours before trying to apply it to my InKind account. When I did, it said the number was invalid or already claimed. I opened a ticket with InKind Support. They say they'll respond in 24-48 hours. Ugh.

I've used InKind many times, although there's not a lot of variety of InKind network restaurants near me. The bonus offers have worked except the last one which was $25 off $75. It didn't deduct the $25 off the bill & I had to pay it. I reported it to InKind Support who added $25 back to my account.
