I have the bigger version and this version. Both are somewhat loud. I returned the small one cause it wasn't blowing enough for to my liking. The hinge designs sucks and is prone to cracking.

A couple of mine are prone to loosen up on the hinges and tilts up on its own after a while too. I should tighten it up.

I have this and the black + decker from home depot for around the same price. The balck + dexker is better. Same size. More airflow

Sounds like I need to try the black and Decker one.

This isn't quite as cheap as the target sale of the same fan, but I liked it enough to order a second with this sale. Thumbs up

I bought this for my work from home office at the beginning of COVID and have been using it ever since. I don't consider it noisy and it's worked fine for the last 5yrs. It just sits on the floor and is controlled by Alexa so I don't touch or adjust it so I can't speak to the durability of the tilt function.
For reference I paid $14.95 in 2020.

I love mine, but it doesn't have a quiet setting. Low is still high for me.

Great fan and have a couple of these. Really moves the air and I place them next to my window, to cool thing place without using A/C. Not whisper quiet, but not bad at all. I have one near my bed and the white noise is actually helpful with my sleep.

Got this along with a Dreo fan (with newer blade designs - closer to the Vornado's) that's twice this price. This Honeywell moves air decently for the price, but it's not great. While I kept both (due to the hassle of the return process), I'd recommend going with the newer design styles like the Dreo, considering how much more air they move with half the noise.

Just bought a dreo one and was having the same thoughts. Thanks for your insight. Love the dreo one, too.

Unfortunately these are junk and barely move the air. I'd suggest investing a bit more and getting something better. (Sorry I can't recommend any yet)

This fan provides subpar airflow. It's just too tiny to give off enough air to cool. Even on the highest setting, you have to be 5 feet away just to feel it.

Has the best white noise sound for those of you that use one to sleep.

Mine just died this past week. I think I bought it in 2017. I put it on the floor in my bathroom to help blow the air conditioned air into my living room. I kept it on medium and it just didn't have the airflow I needed. I'm looking for something a bit larger and quieter with more airflow but it needs to be small enough so it's easy to walk around since it will be in my doorway. I'm currently am using my 20" round, loud fan by Lasko but it's too loud and large.

Do you all have any suggestions beside vornado and dreo branded fans? Any suggestions as to what type of fan would work best?

These are junk. The hinge breaks so easily.
