I believe he said people's, not his own. I do agree it looks ridiculous on people with small wrists.
I haven't seen a wrist yet that it doesn't look goofy on. When someone is wearing one my eyes are drawn straight to it. I think what makes it really stand out is the fact that the watch essentially sits on 'top' of the watch band whereas on normal watches the band meets with the watch face about halfway up. Even though it's about the same thickness as a large mens watch, it looks like a brick sitting on top of the wrist.
I just ordered a Geek Squad Refurbished on Best Buy (AWU2 - GPS + Cellular, Black Titanium, Black Ocean Band) for $399 listed in "good condition". I won't get it for a few days, but I've got to think that the Best Buy price drop, plus Prime Day, plus refurb is going to be the best bang for the buck for a while. I couldn't even find an AWU1 in any condition (aside from Marketplace) for any where near that price.
Still not a deal really…what I did is every birthday or holiday gift I asked for Apple gift cards if people were gonna buy my a gift - then I set a Slick Deals alert for "APPLE WATCH ULTRA 2" …by the end of a year I had $250 in gift cards and the watch was on sale for $6lower something and I bought it for less than $400
