For the knowledgeable people on here, looking to backup the whole house in case of outage for multiple days. Wondering if this is a perfect solution with an additional solar panels that's I can set up in the back yard if needed for longer period to use. Would like to take advantage of the rebate before it expires and would like to get a "deal" if this is one. Thanks in advance for any information. I just started researching all this

So it advertises 12kwh for almost a week of power which is not possible at all. For reference my home use with just basic things running overnight (fridges, etc) uses about 0.7-0.8 kW. Running an HVAC draws about 4-5 kw. EV about 8-11kw (just less than level 2), depending on which EV. Additionally Ford and GM EVs have roughly 80-100kwh battery packs and they only advertise approximately 3 days of backup so not sure how eco flow can do 1 week on 12kwh. My thought is you would need multiple of those battery packs. I have 2 Tesla powerwall 2 for a total of about 26-27kw and if I run my 2 HVACS (8-9kw) they would be drained in about 5ish hours. Solar would help to charge those ecoflow packs as opposed to the grid.

No way that home in their presentation runs a 3 Ton AC lol. System looks legit with the solar option. But mad expensive, I cant imagine the installation costs.

I am curious why you think that. The hybrid inverter will require a permit and interconnect agreement to wire up in most places and if you do not good luck with insurance claims because I worked in property and casualty for some time as an actuary and they LOVE getting out of paying for any reason possible and a unpermitted solar or battery install is a great way if something goes wrong. EG4 is manufactured in China just like Ecoflow and is a rebrand because as you can see this uniti you posted is used in like 3 other brands they just slap different labels on it. Also, these batteries for ecoflow have built in heaters which is nice and the rackmount you referenced do not. I had been thinking of going DIY enphase or EG4 originally but the price works out for ecoflow to be better for batteries, software, and output IMO. Pushing EG4 doesnt seem like the right move after all of my research. Also heard their customer support sucks so makes you question if any solar companies or batteries have good support at this point lol. Heck i was considering Anker F3800 plus despite less technical specs because the Anker brand is so great for small electronics BUT even they are chinese owned and everyone says their support for these systems.
