90 day warranty, may want to wait to see if the same deal if offered through their eBay store since those usually come with 2 year warranties

I bought a XM4 from Secondpity last fall and it was labeled as "new" but it arrived and was clearly used. The plastic has some scratches on it and someone's ear wax was still inside the ear piece, so they didn't even try to clean it or make it look new.
Send it back, they take returns. I was going to do that if i had and issue, but my 3 that i bought looked brand new. I recommended that site to 2 of my friends and theirs were brand new looking as well. One was so happy, he bought one for his brother. On a side note, I bought it all off their Ebay store and not their actual website store. Maybe with ebay and the ratings, they send out the brand new looking ones to keep their ratings up.

With these being only released like a month out, I don't see how you couldn't get a brand new looking one from the get go.

How's the NC?
I was able to demo these from a wealthier friend and the ANC is very good. I also own the mk3 and mk4. ANC took a dive with the mk5 in lower frequencies and the mk6 definitely fixed that. Whether these are better than the Bose Ultra's, I can't say, but they are the best ANC Sony has put out imo. I don't think they will bring $400 value over my previous cans, but when they get refurbed down to around $200 I will be adding these to my lineup.

But FFS Sony, you couldn't add 5-10mm to those earcups. Unless people comment on how flat your ears are against your head on the daily, I would definitely buy an aftermarket set (I assume those exist) at the same time I got these headphones.

I was also hoping Sony would adopt the High-Res audio over USBC that is becoming more common, but they didn't.

Does anyone know if there are deeper ear cup replacements available for the XM6?

When I tried both the XM6 and AirPods Max in-store, I noticed the XM6 ear cups felt shallower—my ears were touching the drivers. It wasn't a huge issue during a short demo, but I'm concerned it could become uncomfortable over time.

If you own the XM6, can you share your experience with long-term comfort?

I know the XM6 gets great reviews overall, but if I can't wear them comfortably for extended periods—especially while traveling—they won't work for me. My other option is the AirPods Max, mainly for their seamless integration with Apple devices, which I already use.

Yeah I returned it - honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the XM4's. The XM4 did have some newer features like hear through when speaking but most newer headphones have this.

I have an old Bose QC35 (the original not the II's) that doesn't have all of those extras but I thought the noise cancellation was just as good and they're more comfortable than the XM4's - but the XM6's are 5 years newer, so I assume they are better.

Good idea on eBay - I'd love to buy one from secondpity off of eBay, is there a coupon that takes it down to $304 on eBay? It seemed like this price was only good for their website right now. Maybe its better to wait - or maybe I should go with the Bose official refurbished QC Ultras for $263.

They say the coupon doesn't work on EBAY, so it's best to wait if you are wanting to upgrade to the XM6. I've watch my headphones review guys and all of them seem to like the fidelity and the noise cancelling with the new subtle design changes that makes me want to finally upgrade. The XM4 and the QC35 are very comparable in terms of battery life and noise cancellation and you can't go wrong with either one if you don't own a pair.

Kinda makes you wonder.. This has been out for like.. a month how are they already having a stock of refurbs.

Same happened with the XM5s when they first dropped. Distinctly recall refurbs for about $185 which made me understandably nervous. Turned out to be the lowest they ever got

Mine from Secondipity just arrived that reeked of second-hand smoke, old motel carpet, and urine. Awful. Had to wash my hand and shower to get the smell off.

They functioned well though and appeared in good condition. But the smell is ridiculous bad, my whole apartment smells like a smokeroom now.

So far my success rate with this seller is about 20%. Awful experience. Return they go.

I've bought 3 Sony noise cancelling headphones from them. The XM3, 2 XM4's and they all came in a brown box looking brand new. They all are still working and the XM3 is like 3-4 years old. I'm only lookin to upgrade to the XM6 as the noise cancelling is even better. I bought the XM4's as gifts for my brother and his GF as they fly a lot. Theirs is still working with no issues. I have no issues buying from Secondipity at all. My guess is that the boxes are damaged so they send in a brown box. Or they have 30 day return window and people return it after using it on a flight. Regardless, all the ones I purchased came looking like they have never been worn.
Have you ever returned to the Secondipity website? Do they make it difficult or is it any reason?

I never had to make a return. All of them were essentially brand new and all still working very well. Only reason I would buy these is purely the want in me to "upgrade" to the newest noise cancelling features and the new design. My MX3 that are well over 3.5 years old that I bought from Secondipity is working with no issues. I replaced the ear pads from the wear of them using them so much.

Deal is still live through their eBay store with 20% off automatically included. No need for a code. Just bought a pair in blue for $325 with tax and free shipping. Two year warranty included too.
