Taste is individual preference. i think it tastes good for a sweetened/flavored protein (My favorite is unflavored).

Now all you have to do is figure out your price per pound for chicken breast.
I always hold out for $2/lb. if I'm going to purchase it at all.
So, $15.
I imagine it depends on where you live as to what you can purchase chicken breast for that are boneless/skinless.
As you mentioned, determine convenience; you have to prepare (cook and clean-up) the chicken or you have to just stir a quick shake.
Not exactly excited about having 18+month old powder, going to see if they will exchange it for something newer.
I'm sure it's fine to consume, but who knows what conditions (temp, humidity, etc.) it was exposed to in those 18 months

maybe blend it with some vegetables to cut the sweetness or something acidic like citrus fruits, or even vinegar.
