I don't know of a single 14" laptop that has a dedicated separate numeric keypad. Even on the 15" and up laptops, they are starting to go away, because they make the regular keyboard asymmetric to the screen.

I got the ultra 9 for about $100 more directly from Dell.

The ultra 7 looks to be cheaper at $849 if you change the configuration, with 32GB of ram and 1TB drive.

Seems decent but have seen a few mentions of build quality. Can anyone speak to this?
Just bought for my friend this one but 258v. The laptop made of plastic and look cheap. Apart from that. I think it is good enough if u dont care abt that plastic. It has 2k screen, 14' which is easy to bring around. 32gb ram. Good chip. The only thing I dont like is its casing is plastic. Otherwise it is a perfect one for me. Surprise that Dell give customer a plastic laptop with original price >$1000

Just checked these out in store. The weight seemed the same between the 258V and 288V models. The keyboard did flex a lot compared to other laptops.

Ended up getting the 258V. We'll see how it is and compare it to the Asus Vivobook S14
Hey did you pick it up yet what are you thoughts. Is the keyboard flimsy a deal breaker

How is the keyboard? Any reason you didn't get the 288v? I'm not sure which one to get.... In terms of a deal which one is better

Reviews say the keyboard is fine but the touchpad surface is a little rough. Also the screen is only 300nits and hard to read in bright light.

I'd personally pass. The touchpad is rough, feels cheap. I thought it was dirty but that's just the plasticky texture. And the rest of the case is plastic, and when I picked it up once it creaked. Not a good sign.

Keyboard is flimsier compared to other laptops but not a deal breaker for me, however the one in store had a nice big dip right in the middle. Oh and when you pick it up with one hand from the corner, thing bends like crazy.

We'll be keeping the Vivobook S 14 from Micro Center. Feels miles better and the screen is so much brighter and more vibrant. Dell looks dull in comparison although it's a bit better in terms of glare but the Asus is also perfectly fine unless you're working in direct sunlight 24/7 and don't want to constantly adjust the angle of the screen.

Would this be overkill for a home office computer? Thanks.
Kind of overkilled.
A $400 asus or $500 Acer (Costco) 226v 16gb is fine office, does light gaming and CAD too
