Pretty good price when you add "MONITOR500" promotion code. Can those who bought this previously chime in on the flickering/image retention issues reported on the LG website?

I know it's an office monitor, but a 120hz screen would make a world of difference.

Oof, that monitor is a 3.2 on LGs site. Hard pass at any price...

The only three 5k2k monitors with refresh rates higher than 72hz have all launched in the last six months or so (Dell, LG, INNOCN).
The INNOCN is 100hz, but the video is compressed from what I read. That one is generally under $900, but it seems kinda janky.
The Dell is on sale for $1550. Gorgeous IPS Black 40" panel. The LG is a 45" OLED for $2k.
$900 for a reputable 5k2k monitor is reasonable. People who use these monitors for work care more about the resolution than a higher refresh rate. Having both simultaneously is great, but expensive as hell.

Buy the Dell, but it's around $1550.

This was my previous work monitor and was great for that purpose with only significant con for me being the brightness wasn't the best. Having any light source behind you can cause glares.

Current (kind of) is the Dell 6k u3244kb and it was great for the most part. I preferred a larger size than 32" and the webcam doesn't seem to be able to be used on calls at lower resolution. Best I could do was crop but ended up having issues with using a single thunderbolt connection and had to split the video from hdmi to make it stable. Biggest issue is that it just crapped out on me after 1.5 years of use yesterday.

Just ordered the Samsung g9 57" deal going in and will be my next work monitor. Hoping it fits my needs and don't need to do any more searching.

16 1-star reviews vs 21 5-star. Yikes. And if you look through the 1-stars, they are mostly legit issues, not just whiners.
