Govee has great sensors. Are these newer 'upgraded' models compatible with the v1 models so you can use them side by side, with the same gateway? Does anyone know?

Govee Sensors/Gatweway are not compatible with the v1 rounded models/v1 Gateway, but are these 'upgraded' ones compatible ?]

Update: THESE are NOT compatible. Says so in one of the graphics.

Here, the fine print says the gateway only pairs with the H5059 sensor (and its a H5044 gateway). It says its not compatible with the 5043 gateway either (which is probably the rectangled model number).

So, I'd have to have two separate gateways (one for the older and one for the upgraded sensors) ....not the end of the world, but thats how it would have to be.

Have tons of these around the house and have always worked flawlessly. They've saved us from massive water damage 2 or 3 times in the last few years. So worth it.

Is this an upgrade or just newer model?

Loved my v1s but when the battery died and I replaced them they are not showing up on the Govee app anymore? Did a full reset and re-added them and still not working. Not sure I want to buy the upgraded ones with my past experience

These are awesome. We had a burst pipe take out our entire kitchen and got these afterward, plus a Moen smart water valve. Mitigation is key

I am not sure what is the point to monitor the water leak.... If it is going to automatic shut off the water, it might be useful but if you cannot do anything remotely, then what would be a point?
The point is that they're an inexpensive way to know if you have a water leak well before it becomes an expensive catastrophe. Most people don't inspect under their sinks, washers, water heaters etc multiple times per day

"might be" hardly warrants a redirect post

And if you happen to be in the house when it happens…
