Same, these are just terrible buds. They exist to make the pro ones seem like a deal. Apple is great at ripping people off. There are so many good ANC buds under $50 (e.g Anker)

Airpods are the best selling headphones for a reason, no one has come close.
If you own any Apple products just the connectivity is worth the price tag by itself.
Comparing these to ANY Anker product is hilarious, yeh Anker will be louder but the sound signature is far worse.
It's no wonder why audophile websites rank Airpods/Airpods Pro as simply the best wireless earbud unless you want to spend over $250-300 and get into the premium wireless segment which Apple and even the mighty Anker doesnt compete in.
Plus who the fark wouldnt spend an extra $30-40 to buy an Apple product over an Anker one? a broke joke that's who, dont take your advice from people like that- there are a LOT of broke Apple haters on here be careful you might be getting advice from someone who cant afford an Uber to Walmart to buy the Airpods themselves
