edit: it worked on the black color, my original was white and it didn't work for that.

"Right on the back of the flosser by the charging port it even says "please keep dry." The issue is while using the product water just naturally tends to drip down the flosser and when I go to dry it off after a session, there is water behind the flap inside the charging area. So the flap does not keep the water out."
