Literally bought this set a couple weeks ago after my parents bought one a year ago. The set is pretty solid, plastic wicker over steel with decent pillows and pads. It went together well, though the ratchet tool provided is a little finicky. Way nicer than the current price point.

New to patio furniture here. How water resistant/proof are the cushions and the rest of the furniture? And how do they compare to, say, Costco patio furniture?

Agree, I received mine yesterday and put it together. I ditched their tool(it can be annoyingly finicky) and install was a breeze. Cushions were more comfortable than I was expecting at the price point. Seat cushions also have clips that clip into the metal frame to keep them in place.

The seat cushion portion is clipped to the frame, not sure if a big windstorm would be an issue for the uppers(Uppers are not clipped in). Did get a good storm with 30-40 mph wind last night and no issues here. The chairs also have a good weight to them.

I dont always buy outdoor furniture..when I do, I buy one which is photographed indoors.

Bought this same model when only Red was on sale last month. As someone mentioned earlier in the comments, the only issue in installation was the provided ratcheting tool. Do yourself a favor and use a proper ratcheting tool with an allen key bit. (I guess metric 5 or 5.5 mm worked.) Other than that putting all parts together was not difficult. Chairs and table we put together indoors and transported them to the patio. The loveseat however looked big compared to our patio. So we decided to assemble that outdoors only. So far it's holding good and we are liking it so far. Just wish that the red color to be more bright / vibrant.
