I dont reccomened this phone, wish I had bought a Oneplus 13/13R/13S or an iPhone 15/16e instead. Performance is OK, but the thermals are just terrible, and battery life is average at best. Camera and software are great, but everything else is just absolutely a dropped ball.

Meh. Decent price, but about $150 too high for what it should be on sale.
the 256 version has been this price a couple of times

Pixel 8 pro has literally been the bane of my existence. The worst phone I've ever had by far not even close. Issues with every single app every single day. 80% of pixel 8 pro users report issues similar..... Do not buy from Google. Do not support this BS. Also a year and a half after buying this pixel 8 pro for nearly $1,000, it's only worth $250 Max trade-in value......... Literal brick. I absolutely love my pixel 4A by the way, but Google has obviously lost the plot

alternatives to this:
a26 $300 direct from Samsung. at least 6 years of security updates.
s25 and s25+ both easily clear this literal trash, garbage Google is putting out

I have the p8 pro and absolutely love it. I had a xiaomi cc9 pro previously, and there were some things that were better, like the ability to search and find exact words in the notes app. The 128gb camera was great but the software was lacking my screen went out after 3-4 years of use and it survived dropping out the window from a 2 story building onto concrete not once, but twice 😬 Eventually it just had enough of my abuse. The camera software is better on this p8pro phone, Gemini seems ok, and I get better reception. I would upgrade but everyone recommends skipping a generation for more improvements. I wish there were more bands available on Xiaomi in the US.
