Is a refurb from From best buy for the m1 air gen 5 with 256 worth it at 429? I don't have cash so I put it on the card. And I hear the processors are so overpowered it doesn't matter much anyways.
Spend the extra $50 and get an iPad that's three years newer Best Buy refurbs are shit

M1 Air is solid but that is a REALLY old (in terms of tech years) iPad now so the battery is likely to be the actual issue with that tablet. High charge cycle counts on an almost 3 1/2 year old tablet battery will be rough tbh.

I had one and returned it due to battery life it was 87%.

Don't use 2A chargers. Might seem counter intuitive, but the 1A chargers are still the best for best battery life. They don't heat up batteries and degrade them as much as

how much usable space does a 128GB ipad air M3 have out of the box? torn between this and the ipad a16 at $280; is this thing really worth the extra $200 for the average mid-30 year old? FYI, im not a graphic designer, but use alot of adobe pdf reader, download/stream alot of pirated content (videos hosted on ahem "harmful" websites and also my own plex server -4k uhd remuxes), I use microsoft 365 apps (word, one-note, excel, outlook) alot.

if all your stuff is mostly saved on servers and other devices I'm not quite sure what you need more space for. I used my iPad pro 128gb very heavily for work and the kids use it and I never got anywhere near the storage limits. for PDFs and documents and stuff I just use Dropbox. and you're streaming the other stuff.
so much this. The motherboard on my iPad crapped out so I have a cellular account or tablet I don't have anymore and I don't want to pay an ungodly price for a new one when my 3-year-old iPad pro was snappy AF
Do you mean non oled screens or just the screen on the base model? What about the screen on the M3 iPad? I can't decide between getting a 256 gb IPad 11 A16 or a M3 IPad Air 128 gb. I'm not considering the 256 IPad Air because if I spend that much, I'd probably just get the new Pro when it is released.

Processors do matter. Newer ones are more energy efficient. But the batteries like everyone else is saying and the updates. This will last longer for the extra $50 or so. It's worth it.

The Air screen is better than the regular iPad, and the base M3 Air is pretty much perfect tablet - processor is fast (I can feel it's faster than the M1 and the iPhone's, video is faster) AND it has the Windows ability - basically connect it to a monitor and Bluetooth keyboard and you have a portable PC...

The $280 iPad 11 A16 is just as good with 6gb ram. The A18 pro is better than M1.
A16 is already overkill on iPad. M3 & M4 are iOS Limited
