Mine just showed up. Here are pics of what you get. It does have a 5.0 ah battery and it is green and black, so the walmart pic is wrong. It is pro as well. The box say 4 year warranty.

FYI this is an old version. 3 year tool and 2 year battery warranty too. Found the review on Consumer reports and it's just mediocre. Newer versions are reviewed much better.

How is it? Is it the Pro?
it is the pro. I think all 80v are pro though. I didn't open it yet. Waiting for someone to measure the battery length first.

Correct. I have about half a dozen GW 80V tools, all marked as "Greenworks Pro".

Interesting about your newer chainsaw. I have the older version and routinely use the old style 4Ah batteries with it.

My 4ah fits fine and actually came with one. But there is a longer version of the 4ah and 5ah. I don't think new tools would come with them but this mower is older stock.

I have 4 of the older/longer 4Ah batteries and one of the new style/shorter ones.
The easy visual ID is the old style has 3 "state of charge" LEDs, the newer one has 4.

If the box has photos of its contents, that might tell if it ships with the 3 or 4 LED battery.

In that case, it's an old battery.

Is this the best of the sub 500ish emowers for 1/4 acre? It seems like a good option but don't want to get caught with mower envy. Thanks

I had the non-SP version for a few years and upgraded to the newer "Costco" model. The new model has a few advantages. It folds more easily, has 2 battery ports (switches automatically as needed), has a "turbo mode", and the controls are more ergonomic.

When I bought it, it was $499 with 2 of the 4Ah batteries, charger and an extra mulching blade.

I'm not sure if this one (Walmart) will mow 1/4 acre on one charge, a lot depends on the type of grass, how high its and how wet/damp the grass is.

Yep. I had purchased a mower from Lowes after price matching and got it today. On the box on top in black banner, it states Pro model but no where on the mower did it state that it was pro. Nor was it stated in the listing on Lowe's website. So I called Greenworks and they say any 6v or 8v model is a Pro.

I told them I had an older model pro and it had Pro on the bag and everywhere else and they said they don't put it everywhere anymore on the mower.

My old battery on old Greenworks mower I have doesn't make any noise when charging. This new charger makes noise like a fan blowing. Evidently that is the Rapid charger at work. It does charge a lot quicker than my old charger did and that's a very good thing.

Did anyone get an extra blade with their mower? I thought I was supposed to get one. The listing stated as a bullet point:
21-in Replacement Blade - Item# 1243106

I was thinking it would be included but maybe they were just saying you can replace the blade later on with this one.

Has anyone actually bought this model and opened it? It is new or old tech? Seems like a great deal, $200 less than the Costco one (even though that comes with an extra battery).

There are two 80V chargers. A 2 amp without a fan, and a 4 amp "rapid charger" with a cooling fan.

The only model with an extra blade (for mulching) is the model sold by Costco (as far as I know).

Great. Thanks. Then my older model must have been a 2ah charger. Good to know I'm not missing the blade. Just kind of odd how they listed it.

I heard that they are shipping the newer version. Can you share the photo of the package and lawnmower photo on the package? Thanks.

Thanks for the photos. It didn't show up in the mobile app. I looked on my computer.

Trying to decide between this with 5 Ah battery for $308 and Costco one for $500 with 2 batteries (2 and 4 Ah) and 2 blades.

It is not worth $200 for one extra battery and blades since I have a small lawn but not sure about the difference in performance.

The Costco model has a "turbo" mode, which is handy for mulching, and improved ergonomics in the controls and the design of the handle.

Either will be fine for a small yard.
