Nope, did some digging in the terms:

Offer is not eligible for the purchase of software subscriptions, gift cards, digital video games or memberships.

I like the thought though

FYI if you have a gift card applied to your Netflix account then you aren't able to pause your membership until the gift card is exhausted.

At checkout there was a notice saying you'd get the code within 24 hr.

Then after I completed the order I got the digital gift card and the separate email about the $5 promo within 2-3 minutes.

When you are on the page to purchase the gift card there is a 'redeem' button to push to add the promo.

Man inflation, recession whatever crap you call it. It showed in my history that I purchased in 2018 for $150 in three separate orders, and I got, I guess $15 in Amazon GC promotion.

Also, make sure you apply the Promotion code of NETFLIX before placing the order:
When I apply the code I got this message:
One per account. Purchase USD 50.00 or more in Netflix gift cards, get a $5 Promotional Credit towards your next eligible purchase. You will receive the credit and email confirmation that the credit has been applied to your account within 24 hours; this credit does not show in your gift card balance. It can be used on eligible products shipped and sold by Amazon.com until September 30, 2025.

says one per account, BUT does that mean per item? so can you buy 1 digital, then place an order for 1 physical and get both $5 credits?

UPDATE. i placed one order for digital and the cart showed the promo. Then I added a physical and the promo disclaimer showed again. so i dont know what happens if i place the order

Dude, it is just $1 extra (5% back is already given with Prime card). You gonna fight chat reps for $1? Not to mention it is not worth getting a package shipped, unpack, manually enter gift card number/pin, whereas digital version takes 30 seconds.
