Depends on your door and layout. I installed one for a friend a few months ago and it was very easy (around 1.5hr, including running the new sensors and push button) with the way the tubing for their door was set up and they had an outlet right where I needed it.
I had a garage door tech tell me these side mount openers can't be installed on "low head room" tracks, but looks like the listing says it can. Does anyone know?

I didn't know what a low headroom track was, so I looked it up. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Clopa.../100021966
Turns out, My garage doors are exactly what your talking about. Both of my doors have this attached. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Chamb.../325675581
They were on clearance a few years ago for ~$200 so I decided I would make it work. The instructions said they could not be used on reverse wound spools (which mine are). The only reason I could find for that was because you can't reverse the default operation. So I flipped them over and the are mounted to the ceiling. They've been great. Very quiet and most importantly freed up ceiling space where the traditional motor, belt/chain was hanging.
