Reading is fundamental.

No, the listing comes up as the bundle.

However, the OP also included a link to just the console if one doesn't want the bundle. As I said, reading is fundamental.

This can't be right, I was assured during preorders that Amazon would never sell the Switch due to some ongoing feud with Nintendo.
That certainly was the case, but things change, especially if Amazon throws enough money at something.
Nintendo was very unhappy with Amazon over some of the third-party sellers on the platform reselling Switch games from regions with discounted MSRPs on the US storefront at lower prices, giving them an unfair competitive advantage over anyone selling copies actually intended for the NA region - or, more specifically, the fact that Amazon refused to do anything about it, despite Nintendo's repeated requests.
Apparently, they changed their minds, and the only reason I can think of is compensation in cold hard cash.

I just can't convince myself to buy this with the swollen battery issue, battery indicator issue (showing wrong percentage charge), and limited run-time.I feel like these are all issues that will be handled in a 2nd iteration/revised release of the console much like the original Switch. Only downside is...it'll likely take years for that revised version to release. For reference, original Switch had a revised release with improved battery life at the same price that released a little over 2 years after the original Switch released.
I'm on the exact opposite end of the spectrum - I specifically want the earliest version I can get, since I love jailbreaking my consoles so I can mod games, edit saves, install homebrew apps, etc.
I have never actually used any of my original Switch consoles as portables, so anything battery-related doesn't bother me.
I will admit to being pretty p***ed off that they stuck the Switch 2 with HDMI 2.0 video output, though. As a result, the heavily advertised VRR function only works on the built-in screen, which they seem to have accidentally forgotten to mention anywhere. It also doesn't support FreeSync, AMD's free VRR implementation that works over HDMI 2.0 on screens that support it, despite the GPU architecture being compatible.
There simply is no good justification for that kind of BS, with HDMI 2.1 having been the global standard for long enough that the HDMI 2.2 standard is already coming out next year.

I can't believe they don't have the non bundle version up. I'd prefer that.

Everyone is hung up on the screen, but, for me, the bigger issue is that it can only output video over HDMI 2.0, meaning that the heavily advertised VRR doesn't even work outside of the built-in screen. It doesn't support FreeSync either, which would have at least allowed some TVs to get that implementation of VRR, despite the GPU architecture it uses supporting it.
I can see an argument for a less than stellar integrated screen (compared to the Switch 1 OLED model), trying to keep costs down, but releasing a console in 2025 with HDMI 2.0, with HDMI 2.2 already almost out, just shouldn't be considered acceptable. Even the Xbox Series S has HDMI 2.1, and came out years ago.
They've also kept the fact that it's HDMI 2.0, and its implications, sufficiently quiet that various tech sites have run full articles about VRR not working for TV output, and the tests they ran to confirm the discovery - so they definitely hid that fact intentionally.
As someone who is unlikely to ever take their Switch 2 out of the dock (never did for the Switch 1, either), the whole thing just really irritates me.
My TCL only has HDMI 2.0 and VRR works just fine with 4k/60 on my PS5. I just don't have access to any of the 40FPS modes, even though I have a 120Hz panel unless I set it to 1440P

I didn't realize ppl who buy Nintendo pixel peep like PC enthusiasts. edit: I want to remind everybody that Nintendo is all about having fun while gaming, not setting benchmarks. if you had fun playing videogames without knowing what vrr was, you can do it again. don't choose to not have fun because of something you won't even miss after 5 mins of looking for it. I got the switch 2 to play my switch 1 games at a higher fps and less input lag. working out great

This is like 2020 all over again, everyone chasing an elusive console that basically has no new games. What is the point?

This is not a good console to upgrade from Switch OLED. The gameplay experience is not drastically different anyways
Lies. I've played it almost every day since launch. I've personally tested many games on both consoles. Simple fact of the matter is that the switch 2 runs the majority of switch 1 games at a much more steady frame rate. Many of them, even ones that don't have patches, look and run much much better. Then there are the games that got actual switch 2 patches and enhancements. It's no comparison. It's an entirely new generation of system. Everything is much snappier. It's a much more solid system and can run some pretty heavy duty games in a surprisingly good fashion. Don't sit there and tell me the switch one can handle even a quarter of what the switch you can because you be lying if you said so. Just say you haven't played one and you're just giving your opinion because there is no truth to what you said.
