Would you buy clothes in bigger sizes or get something that fits? This is designed to protect a Nintendo Switch and its accessories. A Switch swimming in a laptop bag may get dinged up by things floating around that are not secured.

Would this fit the Switch 2 OK? There are not recent reviews but it looks like a decent carrying case/bag.

Check the dimensions. Tomtoc has the Switch 2 case on sale at Amazon too, though it's twice the price. But the case is amazing for travel.

Wouldn't a $15 laptop bag be the same but has more space and can hold a laptop?

Based on the dimensions, it might be 1/2" shy in length.

Not if you already have a carry case for it (like the game traveler case), so you would be putting the carry case inside a $15 laptop bag

So will this hold all the cables and TV dock? Maybe and extra controller?

I think the purpose is to be only as big as it needs to be for the intended purpose. But yes, if you planned on taking your Switch AND a laptop, it would make sense to buy a single bag to accommodate both. Now if you only were planning on bringing one of those items, would you really buy a bag to carry the other? And possibly the kitchen sink as well Wink

P.S. Some of us also have the bad habit of loading a bag to capacity regardless of what we "need" for the day. Sometimes smaller bags act as a check for that bad behavior.
