2 mile range sucks because you want 10-15 mile range to get 5 mile talking

Are there any GMRS radios that don't have so many buttons on the front, are on the small side, and easier to carry?

None that don't have the buttons. That's one of the entire points of being GMRS; being programmable/adjustable. Plenty that are waterproof, small, and easy to carry though not as small as the lower power FRS ones can get. But all of the GMRS have the ability to lock the buttons to prevent accidental presses.

How do you know these are Mini-USB? Amazon shows that I bought a pack of these a few months ago, and they had USB-C. It was great to use on the beach/lake/hiking when there was limited reception. One of ours fell in the lake and still worked after drying it out.

Actually there is a GMRS radio that's simpler and easier to carry.. but it isn't cheap.

Those look good too. I'm no expert, I'm looking for as small as possible. Super short range I'd fine.

So far found these from KSUN:

How's does factory set CTCSS work??
These 4 are keyed to the same tone, but not other FRS radios on the same channel? And no easy way to even know the CTCSS to set the other radios?
No ability to turn off CTCSS To work on the channel with all other FRS?
Am I missing something
are all RETEVIS on the same CTCSS?

If using these while traveling in cars on the road, will these work if the cars are close enough?
They should. We used to all get hand held CB radios to do that before cell phones were everywhere. Those would cost $40-80 each, so might be cost prohibitive

These are good radios but don't expect to get anything more than a mile. If you're lucky which isn't bad, they're great for kids. We have some of these and we all talk to each other during hurricane rideouts but don't expect long distance for these

The description says usb-c, and recent reviews say so. I think they just need to update their main pic.

I just tested and it's still working. Make sure it's the correct seller and if anything type out the code.
I've tried to copy/paste and manually type in the code several times and I cannot get the discount to register.Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?I add item to cart, then on payments page I click the link for "Use a gift card, voucher or promo code". Then I enter the code, and it redirects to the checkout page and there is no discount. If it's relevant I'm paying with an Amazon gift card. Thanks for any advice.

After entering the code, theres an arrow at the right side. Click on it. I'll have to admit that I did what youre doing multiple times too and thought the code wasnt working. Click on the arrow at the right side of the promo code box after entering the code.
I hope that helps.

Oh yeah like the person above said make sure it applies. You should get confirmation that the coupon code applied. Also check your final price after to make sure it applied but it went unnoticed
