It's decent, worth a watch but I'm not sure I'd spend this much on it. This always felt like they had big ambitions for it but it just fell short. Side note - the digital copies on these, or any funimation release, are invalid and not redeemable anywhere.

Agreed. I enjoyed this 10-15 years ago when it first aired on cartoon Network back in the day. Worth streaming but not sure if buying to rewatch again and again unless it really strikes a chord with your soul.

it's been awhile since i watched this but from what i remember...it was just ok. i really wanted to love it since im a huge Kurosawa fan. at first it was really cool and they stuck to the original story closely but then that part of the story ends and it becomes something else which to me was just forgettable. i kinda lost interest after. like there was all this great build up and then the main event then everything after is anti-climactic and pointless. idk...like i said it's been a long time since i saw it.

I'd say it starts off incredible and then falls off towards the end. A solid series in general but if it had stayed consistent it would've been great. Also helps if you're a fan of the kurosawa film.

This seems like a regular bluray release(not LE or 4k), doesn't seem like a particularly good deal. The show itself is fine. I think for most people it's a watch once and done kind of thing. If it was under $20 it would be more tempting. The OP and ED are bangers though.
