One usage difference between the ep10 vs ep25 model is the ep25 will remember it's previous on/off status when the power is cut off. This is useful when you also use the plug with a light switch. The Ep10 will always be in an off status when power is cut then goes back on.

The 25% cash back also applies to other kasa/tapo items. I bought the tapo energy monitoring ones.

No energy monitoring on this model for those that want that feature.

Where do you see the 25%? I didn't spot anything either logged in/not logged in.

In the checkout page, I think under the payment option, it said that I would receive the regular 5% cash back and an additional 20% cash back.

You probably have both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi. Maybe even 6G also. This will work fine with whatever router you're using.

I bought a four pack of these last year during a similar deal. I'd recommend getting at least that many, even if you only need one like I did. I've had 2 of them just randomly stop working and I'm on the third one in the box. For the 2 that have broken so far, one just stopped taking commands from the app at all. The other would take a command to open the contacts but then immediately re-close even though the app showed it open (you could hear the clicks). Tried troubleshooting for both and there's not really a lot you can do when they decide to break. So yeah, when working they're good but at worst they're just a disposable commodity.

This sounds horrible... I have WeMo switches that have lasted 10+ years.

Absolutely right. I think maybe someone might have read my post and read it as I meant everyone else should buy the 4-pack for backups, that's just how it worked out for me. I wouldn't recommend this product in hindsight.
