Seems trendy to complain about the strong scents manufacturers add to these bags. While I admit, they can be strong and combine with poo smell, it's still better than straight dog doo fresh from the source.
Spend a few more bucks and get bags that are biodegradable and not made from plastic. The planet will thank you😀
A commendable first reaction, but I respectfully disagree. The reason is biodegradable plastic will only break down under anerobic composting. When it does, it will turn into methane, worse than CO2. Best let the plastic tie up the carbon as neutral.

I would also like to respectfully disagree. I have yet to find a bag product that isn't just green washed. The product you linked is a polyethylene (PE) and cornstarch blend so at the end of the day it still uses plastic, will break down into micro plastics, and end up in the landfill (my yard waste does not allow for dog poop). So it's basically plastic bagging corn and poop, then throwing it into the landfill.

Though I do not have any sources, I would like to argue that intuitively if both the bag and poop goes to a landfill (home composting dog waste isn't recommended due to pathogens iirc and some if not most commercial composting facilities do not accept it for the same reason or because it contains pastic), then it will both decompose without oxygen and create methane. Given their mass, even at scale, the bio degradable bag will create only a small fraction of that of the poop and even less compared to that generated by livestock.
But yes I agree that biodegradable bags, at its current state, is not a viable eco friendlier solution.

If you look at the ingredients.,. PE and cornstarch. PE is not biodegradable. Chances are the corn starch is dusted on the bags. PE is polyethylene.
The following are biodegradable plastics made from starches.
Polycaprolactone (PCL)
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)
Polylactic acid (PLA)
Except after a year unused bags basically turn into shredded powder and you can no longer use them and just gotta chuck the whole role away.
