Highly recommended. Gathering Storm expansion adds weather events that make the game even more interesting. I've been playing Civ games since the first one and will likely play this one for longer since 7 is not great right now. For free this is a no-brainer.

Yeah that was a fiasco. SD advertised it based on leaked info. Epic themselves had never claimed it would be free. Either the leak was made up, or something changed internally and epic didn't go ahead. Either way, it was stupid of SD to post a 'deal' based on an uncorroborated leak. People got really riled up (which was weird).

This time it's epic that is formally advertising the giveaway. So it'll happen.

Totally different game. this is a turn based strategy game, not a RT strategy game like AoE. And Civ as a series has way more depth and content than AoE.

I'd argue that with Civ 7 out in the state it is in, Civ 6 (especially with all the DLCs) is the best bargain on the gaming market. You can literally sink hundreds if not thousands of hours into this game, now for free.

Had the same problem earlier claiming Civ 6, ended up using the Epic Launcher to claim it and it worked fine, so in the (now unlikely) event you may still be having issues, try that.

Make sure to get the expansion pack. Can't recall the name, but it costs between $13-$18 and it is ALL the packs. The pack adds so much variety to the game... some not do welcomed like zombies

It is called anthology pack... but nevermind, this version is great still.

It is only missing the frontier pass stuff. Anthology price was $12 from cdkeys

I remember playing Civ 1, I beat the game in B.C. Chariots were the best. I stopped after Civ 2, which i loved. Is Civ 6 a "good" one out of 3/4/5/7? Going to add it just wondering if i should play it or if its some awful weird sequel that no one really liked.

It says I already have it. Why does Epic make it so hard to see ones library from a phone?

I also played Civ 1 back in the day (1991, wow it's been that long!). I have also played Civ 4, Civ 5, and Civ 6. I have put 500+ hours into Civ 6 alone. It is the best version in the entire series in my opinion. It takes a bit to get used to the idea of districts, and how cities can grow into multiple tiles instead of just one, but it adds a new level of depth and fun to the gameplay.

Yeah, I am one of those Civ-heads going back to the original game. IMO this is one of the best editions and it is a real deal that they are giving you most if not all of the DLC too. I paid full price some years ago but with all the hours of enjoyment this game gave me it was money well-spent.

Having said that I just can't get into Civ 7 and the changes they made to the game. I keep going back to Civ 6. Adding the Zombies to the Civ 6 made it challenging and a hoot! :-)
