FYI Google Fi has updated their trade in options, so you can now trade in the Fold6 (or other current gen options) toward the Fold7 or Flip7. The trade in value for the Fold6 512 GB is $500, so you can get the Fold7 for $799 with trade in as an existing customer, or $499 as a new customer.

Just pulled the trigger from Samsung Canada education store. Fold 7 512GB blue shadow trade-in Fold 5 512GB excellent condition for $1020 trade-in credit, Watch 8 Classic LTE black color no trade-in. EPP site. Q8,Q7, WATCH-8 CODES gave $275 discount. Codes were emailed to me since I registered through Samsung Canada website as well as Samsung USA. Total $1617.02 cad taxes included and received order confirmed email in less than 1 minute. $1180.55 USD. Can't replicate that through Samsung US store. I think that's good overall. No cash back unfortunately since I ordered through education store.
I was almost buying the 1TB black Fold 7 however total was $2003 cad for the same combination above. Thought it's not worth the difference.

I'll be skipping this year. Phone price went up. Trade in value went down and $50 credit is useless because it can't be use for phone accessories. If no trade in is selected you get $300 credit (samsung ecosystem). So trading in Fold 6 net only $700.

FYI Samsung added pixel fold 9 Pro as an eligible phone for trade-in. It was not there their on launch day. They have it valued at $600 now.

Try adding them separately to cart, each with its own trade in!

I did try that but it automatically removes the trade in from one of the items.

What was your total for the watch after w5pro trade in (before you added it to cart)?
I suspect that your bundle discount (for having both the phone and watch in cart) is more than the watch total and that is why it is kicking the trade in for the watch!! Or it could be just a glitch!

Close to $240 for the Galaxy Watch 8 classic LTE with trading in Galaxy Watch 5pro. Seems like I can only trade 1 device at a time in a single transaction, so either the Fold 6 trade in against the Fold 7 or watch 5 pro against the Watch 8 classic.

So it looks like samsung dropped another $100 off. I would have paid $999 with my fold 6 trade in for the fold 7. Now its at $899 with an extra $100 bonus off. It's getting better
