$700 and $600 discount upfront. You will require 120 days of service at flexible plan which will cost around $25 so total in $100 in service for 4 months.
Phone will be unlock out of the box and you can use physical sim card from other carrier from day one and keep Google Fi on Esim to keep promotion.

You have good memory. I wish I pulled the trigger on the Edge. Normal discount for the Flip ($499 for 512gb). I have had S22+, S24+ and I have been waiting for the s26+ but trying to decide if its worth it to get this Flip, sell the s24+ , and see what happens when the s26s are released. But Google Fi has my primary number so it would be my daily driver. I use a non-Fi sim for data and have flexible plan. Was thinking of porting my number out and coming back for the s26+. I think my credit will still be there. Have $270 right now. Can't do any more r*f because maxed out. With taxes I average about $29/mo so I have about 9/10 months left so iIf I port out now , skip the Flip deal, I'll have enough credit to pay for the 4 months for s26+ and 4 months s27+ deals. Assuming they stick to 120 days.. Actually each time you reactivate first month back can't use your credit balance.
I have a Visible year plan that is my data sim so Id just port to that. Got a good deal by buying it with the iphone 13 deal , selling the iphone and combining with c**h b**k
Yeah for the new customer using r*f codes.
If you want to be on slab style phones then letting the credit run out and upgrading each generation sounds like a good move with porting out in between.
It takes 21 days or so for FI to consider you an existing user. It might be over the time for preorder but similar discount will be given after the preorder period but no free storage upgrade to 512gb
I am not sure if you need to activate a phone on the line or not. I'd think it does not matter but I am not sure. You can download FI app and install an eSIM on an unlocked phone.

The Fold7 looks great but it's quite expensive and has low resale value. Fold6 in mint condition sells for as low as $900 on Swappa. S24 Ultra Mint 512GB sells for $729. Someone has listed the same phone unlocked for $954.
Still thinking though whether or not to get this deal from Google Fi. Will decide on or before Jul 24.

I think Fold 7 resale value will be higher than Fold 6 at this point next year given the price increase and vastly improved form factor. I dont think Samsung will discount it as much as they did with fold 6.

So I have using s25u as my personal phone and flip 5 as my work phone for this ear. I think with a flip phone for doing specific things like playing music, going through email/notifications cover display is good but you need to flip it open to do everything else. The camera also is a downgrade. For me having a phone similar to slab phone for all purposes which expands into a bigger display makes sense. Fold 7 has now come close to be a slab phone while closed so I am excited to try it out.
As per making the minimal money for upgrade I am still not sure but if you upgrade using FI deals and sell the last phone making yearly upgrade twice once in Feb when slab comes out and other in July when fold comes out might be better because you are selling the phones which are only 6 months old and will have higher resale value (provided you keep aside the money you get from sale for sole purpose of buying the next one)
