I bought the 16" version of this laptop last month. Been happy with it. No issues so far. Resolution and screen has been good. I initially thought 300 nits was too low but it hasn't bothered me at all indoors.

While the current naming scheme is long asf, I'll take it any day over the 15 million different models of 7480, 7420 (somehow newer than a 7480), 9500, 5450, etc etc etc. that it replaced and consolidated.

At least if a person has a few brain cells and some critical thinking skills you can look at the current scheme and know which models are higher tier than others.

I lost the confidence with Dell since I bought the G15 5511 few years ago. Every now and then I still have to open the back cover and unplug the connector to the battery in order to turn it on. I understand it is a different line, but still.......

Someone commented that the only thing missing is a touch screen. However, this is a 2 in 1, don't they come with touch screens as a given? I see upon further review you can add the touchscreen. Does anyone know if the ram is soldered or an upgradeable slot?

There is no indication that this is a 2-in-1. RAM is soldered. I would say one of the downsides of this laptop, if I had to pick one, is the peak brightness (as someone else mentioned). It shouldn't bother most people for indoor use, but it's sometimes nice to have the colors really pop even on a bright day. I also saw reviews indicating the audio quality isn't the best either (yes I know most laptops will have terrible speakers, but it's not a crime to want a decent sound quality).

So is this a Inspiron, Latitude or XPS?
