we used to say the same thing about made in Japan in the mid century. Then we realized their engineering is something to marvel at. This happened in China several years ago, but we keep judging them by the low price and quality stuff we demand, not what they can (and do) produce.
Japan has much more stringent rules and regulations that prevent poor quality products from being manufactured. For every Anker there's 20 random companies rotating names and shipping things with low standards and poor quality control. The argument isn't that China doesn't produce good stuff. The concern is that there are a lot of crappy products that have dubious quality because China doesn't have the same level of consumer protection and expectations that other countries have. Now is any of this relevant in a deal for an Anker product which is a trustworthy company? Not really. This is where your comments make sense.
for 65w, it would not be enough space for heat dissipation inside the wall safely. the technology isn't ready now.I am not saying this particular product is safe. it is still a Chinese brand. I am just saying 30w is much doable than 65w theoretically.

Anker is a highly reputable brand. Just about all electronics like these, including brands from the United States and Europe, are made in China.

I know iPhone are made in China, but don't mix up design in USA and design in China are the same. for any appliance that connects to hi-voltage inside my house, I would choose it wisely. this type of sockets, u can't really take it out or turn it off when u are not in home. I would not test my home insurance policy for that.

Anker is a good cables and chargers brand, but a new player for electrical products that require certification or higher end components like surge protectors or outlets. for those there are better well known brands

True, market is very saturated with junk that tend to be knockoffs. I will say I think the idea of America having superior standards in production these days is antiquated.
I went to buy these but saw some complaints about terminal screws stripping etc. so I opted for some Leviton's that were on sale instead. No super deep discount Prime Day pricing but reasonably close enough for similar functionality, just didn't want to risk arcing or anything risky like that if a wire were to somehow come loose.
