Correct. You can pull a shot of espresso, then steam milk either automatically or manually.

If you do it automatically, you can choose from 3 milk steaming settings: low foam, normal, extra foam. You choose accordingly to the type of drink (cappuccino, latte, etc).

Then you mix the two, and voila! You can also learn to make latte art, if you are so inclined.

Since I don't use the steam creamer I think I'll get the non plus version for $300.
Pick used like new for $263 that includes 20% off and total comes to just 210.

As Trandybee said, yes, this will make cappuccino but it will make true cappuccino so is a manual process. This is not the push button "cappuccino" machine you'll see at some restaurants or that come out of special pods. My word of advice would be to make sure your wife is good with that amount of effort before this lands up on eBay.

Note you will also have to grind the coffee or buy coffee specially ground for espresso. Most, if not all, the ground coffee at your grocery store is for drip coffee, which is ground courser than espresso. A decent grinder will run $150-200.

Check out James Hoffmann on YouTube for full info and tutorials on espresso, machines, etc.

I've seen it $350 on Amazon before new with a full warranty. For one of these, you definitely want the warranty.

This is not a great deal. Don't fall for it unless you need one now.

Lots of terrible reviews on Amazon is giving me second thoughts. Considering upgrading to infuser for $400 instead. Infuser allows temperature adjustment and has pressure gauge but takes longer to warm up. Almost twice the price but too many negative Bambino reviews for me. Also I don't care about milk frother

I see the hot water dispenser instructions online for the bambino plus, but nothing for the regular bambino. Does the nonplus also have the hot water dispenser function?
