Calcium supplements should only be taken in case of severe deficiency cases only. Elemental Calcium is better absorbed rather than the other synthetic versions like Calcium carbonate or citrate. Calcium supplements without D3, K2 and Mangnesium will do more harm than good as the Calcium will end up in arteries instead in the bones. I am surprised many brands still selling Calcium without D3, K2 and Magnesium added in the composition. If you have D3 deficiency take only D3 with K2 (MK2/MK7) and Magnesium Gycenate with consultation from your family physician re: the dosage and after a D3 blood test.
