This is a different phone from the April deal. That deal was for the 2025 version. This is the older 2024 version.

Verizon is trying to nuke the 60 day rule right now. Everyone should file an FCC comment reply by July 21 to push back: https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/...you_to_do/ - This article says the window has expired, but if you post a comment as a "reply to other comments" (it is on the FCC comment form under comment type) they will still field it.

I got Motorola Edge (2024) from total wireless 8 months ago and it was automatically unlocked after 60 days.

Just a heads up. While it is carrier unlocked after 60 days, ATT postpaid won't allow this model on their network. I'm ticked. There is no technical reason, just that ATT are pricks. Also, total wireless service sucks for me.
I have been using unsupported phones on AT&t for years. I currently have been using a total wireless Motorola edge for the past 6 months with no issues on AT&t. When I put the SIM card in it gives me a message that this phone is not compatible with our network but everything works fine and I have never had an issue with AT&t suspending my line or ever bothering me again.

Does anyone know if Total Wireless limits the number of promotional phones on an account? I got in on the iPhone 14 and Edge deals earlier this year and didn't pay for second month and they both unlocked on time. So wondering if I'm able to get this Razr deal. Also, does Tello number work for port-in?
When you select a discounted phone, TW site usuallyshows that an account can get a maximum of two discounted phones. However, I was able to get 4 discounted phones (2 Moto Edges, 2 Samsung A35's) in one account earlier this year. Just keep ordering until the site no longer shows a discounted price when you put the phone in the Cart.
Be aware that Verizon (owner of TW, ST, TF, etc) now counts all the phones you got from their sub-brands and shipped to the same address. Since last October to May this year, I've bought 4 TW phones, one ST phone, one TF phone. When I ordered another TF phone in June, TF charged my credit card and shipped it. But the day before it was due for delivery they cancelled the order, and told UPS to return the package. They sent me an email saying I had exceeded their limit of 6 phones (not sure in what time interval). Took about 2 weeks to get my card credited.

Excited for this. Really hoping it unlocks before a 3rd month's payment.

My experience is many Android phones don't auto unlock, and you still need to contact them to unlock it for you at the 60 day mark.
Incorrect information. Its depending on the mobile provider.

Total wireless has come thru with their policy after 60 days.

Does this phone support HDMI output?
It has USB 2.0 in spec, but there is a cable in Amazon and I am confused.

All US carriers and most of the international ones are now 5G/LTE. Don't have to worry about GSM/CDMA anymore.

Yeah the question is whether over time the titanium reinforced hinge on the 2025 makes a difference. Keep in mind folding phones break far more often than slab phones.

I mean, I get it if we're talking about the expensive foldables but these are cheap - paying more than 55% for the 2025 version makes no sense.

I'm not sure there is a guarantee this unlocks after 2 months.. It might. It might not. Like others have said, a lot of companies don't always act in good faith. Just something to consider.

I've now bought 4 phones from Verizon MNVOs, and each has unlocked in 60 days.
There was some discussion about whether they'd unlock the cheapest Moto G 4g phones, by not counting the time purchased in bulk (1 year of service). But in THIS case, you're clearly paying for 2 months of service.
In short NO WORRIES (imnsho).

Thanks, CoolThread698, for the deal. Just finished setting up my Google Voice number, and porting it over to TW. Hopefully they don't take too long to ship!
I'll go add my 2 cents to the FCC thread about preventing Verizon from extending the 60 day window, now.
