This is a different phone from the April deal. That deal was for the 2025 version. This is the older 2024 version.

Verizon is trying to nuke the 60 day rule right now. Everyone should file an FCC comment reply by July 21 to push back: https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/...you_to_do/ - This article says the window has expired, but if you post a comment as a "reply to other comments" (it is on the FCC comment form under comment type) they will still field it.

You can use any mobile number to receive the verification code when you place the order. It does not have to be the same number you will actually port-in when you have your new phone.

I know people don't like big mobile companies like ATT and Tmobile, but I truly hate Verizon like no other companies.

Everything they touch and acquire becomes garbage over time.

FYI, I also got screwed over earlier this year when they refused to unlock one of my 60 day devices.

Best deal I've seen on this. Been on the fence for a while and was hoping Prime Day would bring something, but that was a big nothing burger. Just ordered mine and will do a switch from Tello as soon as it arrives, cost for Tello - $10. Probably will switch back to Tello or maybe visible after 60 days. I'm guessing since Total requires a port in that means it will be an e-sim for the Total plan, and not a physical one.

Anyone knows an alternative to google voice? I keep getting "Google Voice is not currently available for this account. Try again later." when trying to get a gv number.
I also currently have an unlocked total wireless number right now if that info may help

Is this phone Dual SIM? Does it support eSIM? I know the Razr+ supports eSIM, but I am not sure about this model. Also, has anyone experienced issues using Google Voice on Motorola phones? I have used GV on both the Moto Edge+ 2022 and Moto Edge 2024, and on both devices, I get poor connection and disconnection; people on the other end can barely hear me. GV worked fine before unlocking the phones, but the quality dropped noticeably after the 60-day unlock period.I now use a OnePlus (with no carrier service) for all my GV calls and have no issues at all. The only downside is that GV does not work in flight mode on the OnePlus, while it does on the Motorola Edge—but with the same poor connection issue. Any ideas or fixes?
I've been using gv as my primary for a dozen years or so. Have been on moto phones of one type or another without issue. Currently on an aging moto g power 2021. The biggest thing I ever noticed for call quality is to make sure WiFi/digital calling is disabled if you don't have a very good connection. But that is the same whether i go through gv or no for the call. I think maybe gv has a separate setting for that in addition to your phone setting.

Is this how it usually works, or was this a lucky break? I thought I heard in the past Verizon MVNO's would unlock on the 61st day so you would need to have 3 months of service.
Until June of this year that was how it usually worked. Now apparently vzw playing games.

My 2024 unlocked 2 days after the 60 days of service ended.

Also, does Tello number work for port-in?
My Tello number is not eligible.

I used GV to order and bought a number from the barn to transfer.

Where did you get that information? Please post the link to AT&T policy
When you put the device id in the checker, you get:

Incompatible device
Your device is not compatible with the AT&T network.

This for both the 2024 model (this one) and the 2025 model (not this tone)

Total Wireless (also Straight Talk & Tracfone) phones come with physical sim, plan gets automatically added when phone is activated. They're behind with using esims for Android phones, they just use esim on newer iPhones.

Keep my moto edge 2024 or switch to this? This is a really cool phone but I'm contemplating about the fact that this may only last 2-3 years max and the absurd price of out of warranty inner screen replacements

It depends on how often you replace or upgrade your phone. If you tend to use your phone until it quits working in maybe 4-5 years then the Razr is not a good choice. If you usually upgrade your phone in less than 3 years then $110 for this Razr isn't a terrible cost, just replace it instead of replacing the screen. Besides, with the big external screen you can do a lot of things like calling, viewing calendar, reading texts, playing music without having to flip the phone open. With less flipping open/close, should be less stress on the screen and hinge.
