This is a different phone from the April deal. That deal was for the 2025 version. This is the older 2024 version.

Verizon is trying to nuke the 60 day rule right now. Everyone should file an FCC comment reply by July 21 to push back: https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/...you_to_do/ - This article says the window has expired, but if you post a comment as a "reply to other comments" (it is on the FCC comment form under comment type) they will still field it.

You can use any mobile number to receive the verification code when you place the order. It does not have to be the same number you will actually port-in when you have your new phone.

Thanks, I don't keep up with a lot of stuff. Travel a lot and have just bought GSM phones for years. Didn't know things have changed.
Here is the band info for this phone...

Probably not the best place to ask, but anyone know if I'm likely to see a line cost increase if I leave my wife's old plan while this unlocks then rejoin the plan on AT&T?
Very your mileage may vary but I can say if you are on a older plan it most certainly will. ATT and Verizon are horrendous for their promotion policies. T-Mobile is becoming the same way slowly.

Phone arrived. Activated and ported GV number using this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/TotalWir..._wireless/

No problems, number instantly started working on Razr even though Google still thinks they have it. Gotta figure out how to remove the insane amount of bloatware now.

By the way, can a user get a new google voice number after an old number is ported out?

yes but in my case google asked for a valid cell #. I'm not interested in my cell # being tied to GV so i declined and didn't get a new number.

Typically, your new TW phone can make calls and send texts with the ported-in GV number right away. But incoming calls and text still go to GV for a few days until GV releases the number and sends you an email that it was ported out of GV.
Delete/disable the Mobile Services app (you might have to search under system apps), then delete the bloatware. Without deleting/disabling the Mobile Services app, it will keep reloading bloatware.

This is my first Android in like 10 years (besides a OnePlus I had for like a week from prime day warehouse) - will disabling mobile services have any negative downsides? This is a secondary phone for Pokemon Go so it's really not too important but just to know.

No, disabling Mobile Services doesn't affect the phone's function other than stops loading bloatware.

I took a screenshot of it because I had paid full price in March. It was available for pickup at the local store. That to me would indicate is was sold by Walmart (/s).
Awesome. Wish I would have seen that. I saw two recently by sellers that look shady.

Did it come with the device pulse app i tried using ADB on other Tracfone Moto's but when try disable/uninstall says "Failure: package is non-disable" appears to be installed in protected folder or system app. Tracfone Samsungs can uninstall it with ADB
