This is a different phone from the April deal. That deal was for the 2025 version. This is the older 2024 version.

Verizon is trying to nuke the 60 day rule right now. Everyone should file an FCC comment reply by July 21 to push back: https://www.reddit.com/r/verizon/...you_to_do/ - This article says the window has expired, but if you post a comment as a "reply to other comments" (it is on the FCC comment form under comment type) they will still field it.

You can use any mobile number to receive the verification code when you place the order. It does not have to be the same number you will actually port-in when you have your new phone.

If they don't amend that in the meanwhile. If they don't "sell" the company and change the terms. If they don't sell your data to a Veiff2.0DataBrokerWe'reNotTHATVeirffPinkySwear for resale to anywhere else.

If it's like Cricket(ATT), you get a notification warning to remove it. Continue to use and service is suspended.

Then a call to customer service is required to restore service on a compatible(white listed) phone.
That's crazy 😒
These corporations are really feeling themselves with this administration in charge

Did it come with the device pulse app i tried using ADB on other Tracfone Moto's but when try disable/uninstall says "Failure: package is non-disable" appears to be installed in protected folder or system app. Tracfone Samsungs can uninstall it with ADB
It sadly does. The apps I haven't been able to get rid of:

iWeather
Device Pulse
Feedback
Moto Migrate
MyHub
ONE store
Swish
The Daily

I haven't tried getting rid of the ones in the Moto or Google folders, but I'm guessing they're stuck too.

Has nothing to do with it - AT&T has been that way for years, they're just very restrictive about which phones they activate. Spectrum has a similar policy, certain phones aren't accepted for activation but work just fine if you swap an already active sim.

It's a prepaid plan. Mine actually says autorenew is turned off, so I think it should automatically cancel by itself at the end.

If it cancels is it possible to keep your number without paying a third month with total?

I use a Chime virtual card for stuff like this. After it clears, I freeze the card so Total (or anyone else) can't charge me for anything again unless I want them to.

You can change your cc after activation and then turn off auto pay
