A MacBook can't run all programs either, but they're still very popular, right? Buy the tool you need. This laptop is a great value for an Elite chip and if it does everything you need, why not?

Been using it for months and it's been great. Long battery life and stays cool throughout the day.

A company is more likely to make an Apple silicon compatible program than a Snapdragon compatible program.

But I think the newer CPUs actually have comparable battery life now.

Do some research, this is ancient history.

You never know. One of my main business support apps still only has an Intel-version requiring Rosetta. They've had 5 years to write a AS app but it still does not exist.

If you don't have any show stopping apps, without an alternative, then I cannot recommend these laptops enough. I've had mine for almost 2 months now and have had absolutely no issues designing, coding, gaming (GeForce Now), just basic use... fantastic battery life and great build quality. Very pleased.

My problem with the one I ordered (and returned) was it couldn't even print to the Canon network printer in the house, which works with every other device including mobile phones and tablets. Ridiculous, "no driver support for ARM sorry". Returned it and got a Lenovo.

Love mine, got the 1TB SSD version, battery lasts forever, everything I work with has an ARM native version. Especially love that it has no vents and no noise when I work in my lap or in bed. Always careful about not clogging the fans with my x86's. Not with this one.

Got the refurb 16/256. It does what I need it to do which is browsing and videos and old/light gaming although with 256 it'll eat up your space quickly. A few things.

The only real complaint I have is that the touchpad is too sensitive. It's responsive which is nice, but when I swipe downwards on my browser it'll think I tried to pull the window to the right and it's annoying. It'll also sometimes think I swiped down with multiple fingers and minimize windows.

Keyboard is wonderful, though, and better than my M2 MBP keyboard by a large amount.

The curved corner screen is a little annoying just because it's ugly, but there's no notch so that's a big plus. The screen is also VERY reflective.

Other than that, great laptop.

Lot of comments from people who have never actually used these. My experience is from the corporate side.

The only exception we've had to make is deploying a separate ARM version of Cisco Secure Client. Made a filter in InTune for the deployment.. that's it. Literally everything else has been indistinguishable from an Intel/AMD laptop, all our legacy apps run, MS365 Apps and Windows 11 have native support.

The battery life is a night and day improvement. And these Elites have multithread performance exceeding a desktop CPU with double the TDP. When you're not managing a fleet of drivers and leveraging WUfB, the underlying arch doesn't bother you anymore.

Oh and we'd kill for this price from CDW.

I've had one for around 5-6 months now. Has been an incredible laptop for everything I need.

The only thing iffy I've seen on it is Discord text chat. Video, voice, and screenshot all work fine. Text chat just has a 1-2 second delay sometimes.

I've done light indy gaming, school work (Excel, Tableau, Lockdown browser, etc), media, and misc normal productivity/usage.

I personally feel like the Anti-Quallcomm chip talk is outdated and probably being boosted by competitors. Smearing Snapdragon chips every time they pop up is a cheap way for Intel and AMD to combat the loss of market shares to Quallcomm.

Seems like a great deal but no TurboTax support on ARM kills it for me.
