Talking down to people without knowing what you're talking about and saying people don't need more than 128gb when you bought a 1.5tb one micro sd. Makes no sense, bro. Anyway, modern flagship phones have removed the the expanded memory card slot. Google, Samsung, and Apple all have abandoned the micro sd in favor of forcing you to pay for cloud storage or more money for larger storage.

I can not believe in 2025 we are still getting 128GB phones. My kids' cheap Poco phone has 256GB. This are supposed to be flaship phones.
What are you guys putting on your phones that needs so much space? I put 50GB of music onto my phone's 128GB Internal Storage, and I still have 20GB available.

I cant even sell a brand new sealed pixel 9 for 360 nor a new pixel 9 pro xl for $600 on Facebook marketplace. the resell on these things are horrible.

Eww 128gb. So maybe 110gb free. Can't fit many 4k videos with that. That's not even counting space needed for apps and other things.

Idk...FHD/4K videos from trips or vlogging, games for emulation, a few movies, flac music, various apps, and work stuff. 512gb is lowest I like to go with.

Could be. With trade in and targeted 30% off code last year, I only ended up paying $130 after tax going from pixel 8 pro to 9 pro xl. Very YMMV and who knows about next year. Decent price for the phone regardless
I'm assuming you need to be on Fi already or have bought a pixel in the past for the targeted deals?

Trade in for p8p has been $699 at the Google site since release until a few months ago, how much more do you expect this to go up? Trade in values usually decrease over time not the other way around. This is a good price even if the plan is to jump into the presale of the pixel 10 assuming the trade in will be around that price (hopefully)
I'm not sure where you got that info, but I kept an eye out at Google Fi, Google Store, and Best Buy for months after Pixel 9 XL came out, and I don't recall seeing trade-in values anywhere near that high. They were typically as low as like $300-500. Lots were complaining about the very poor trade-in values on Pixel 8 Pro.

My Pixel 8 Pro is the last Google phone I'll ever buy.
  1. The software just keeps getting worse: TTS has become a buggy mess. A lot of software cannot access photos outside of the photo folder.
  2. There is not enough storage for a reasonable price, considering what is possible today, and there is no SD card to make up for that lack. I can buy a TB SD for cheap but cannot use it in a phone. Just stupid.
  3. They're more than happy to screw over loyal customers. The 4a and 6a have a terrible repair/buyback program that is totally unclear. They're basically going to brick most of the 4a and 6a phones. Hopefully I can find a good ROM to switch to that will allow battery life.
I don't especially want Android anymore, as it relies on garbage google software. Apple is even worse, totally locked tight. I'm hoping one of these Linux phone operations actually gets working.

I deeply regret buying a Pixel phone. My older work iPhone is soooo much better and easier to use, and has better pictures as well. I did months of research prior to buying and wish I never bought it. My old and cheap Motorola was also much better that this Google garbage, especially when it cost me $100 and lasted 5 years. I truly hate my Pixel!
1000% agree but not sure about Apple phones either. For Samsung or Moto phone users, I would not recommend Google phones. The Google search column is bottom of front screen, and it does not allow to choose active apps. Also, the Google search column can't arrange or move to different space.

That's because Google took a page from Crapple's business model (make you pay for cloud storage).
