I don't see sale often on these high speed cards. The recent one from B&H Lexar 256gb 300/260mbs was $119.

forgive me for the probably dumb question but who is the target audience for these cards?
What do they offer other than form factor that isnt offered by an external ssd with 8x+ the capacity and the same (if not better) speeds for the same price

High end camera owners. Need the write speed to clear the camera buffer into the card when shooting at 30fps+
