There are pictures in some of the reviews showing the seating area is already "puddling" which means the leather is already stretching and/or stitching is pulling. It took years for that to happen to some of our high $$$ leather furniture that we bought so not sure if this is a quality issue or what you get for $600 but not a look I would want in a family or living room. Some of the more recent reviews would indicate the former.

4 stars out of 5 isn't considered to be well rated?

Reading the reviews $600 is too much.

Yeah good question. I have bought many "leather" chairs only to later have them peeling all over my floor

To me this is the major reason to skip: "These recliners have only two positions; setting straight up with your feet on the floor or fully reclined"

I bought this chair several months ago in brown, it's very well made, attractive, and the reclining mechanism works great. That being said it is not the most comfortable chair in the world, I'd give it a 5 out of ten for comfort

I've hated all furniture I've gotten from Costco. Won't be buying more.

One of the picture shows it being partially reclined though.
