I've been looking at these, I don't think they were ever $40, but they were $16 at the lowest price I've seen before so this is a great deal. I have a few furinno turn n tube shelfs and they're super easy to put together and fairly sturdy for "wood" and plastic. I ordered 2, they'll make great end tables/tv trays!

For some kinds of things it's better to pay more for quality (furniture)

For placing lightweight things, these are good enough. We don't have to spend a ton on furniture without a proper usecase! I use the no-wheels version of these as speaker stands. They are holding up well for me. Probably won't last a lifetime but for a few years, they should be fine.
