*On paper the DCF870 has much lower torque than this one, but since it's hydraulic each impact is longer but with significantly less torque. The net effect is going to be comparable to this one in some scenarios and worst in others, but possibly better in a few niche circumstances.
At launch, Torque Test Channel said it claimed the same specs as DeWALT's highest-end impact driver despite being significantly smaller. Tested even better. Since then, DeWALT released the higher-torque DCF860 and the quieter DCF870 hydraulic.
I'd been looking for a deal on a DCF850 since loaning my DCF809 Atomic two years ago but the Lowe's DCF860 + 2x 4AH battery deal from May was too good to pass up. Otherwise I'd be all over this!
