Why are we in 2025 still putting 16GB of RAM in Higher End Laptops, 32GB is really MIN at this point.

Good hardware but when are we ever going to get nicer screens for a $2k laptop?

This is at least not soldered so easy to upgrade but agreed, 16 GB on this kind of laptop is dumb. Then again a lot of 14" "gaming" laptops are still shipping with 16 soldered :/

to what level can we scaleup the memory? and how much would it cost to go with 64gb memory, incase we can go with 2 x 32s? or does it not accept such?

I don't get the negativity on the screen. No, it's not OLED; but it's a high refresh rate IPS panel with better than FHD resolution and decent color gamut. The only downside is it's not particularly bright, but who buys a gaming laptop to game in the sun?

Uh oh, how dare you talk sense on this forum? People will be coming for your head on that comment. Esp after the new superman movie, everyone would want to take their gaming laptop to the sun

They want 5k, 10k or 20k... That's why.... Anything under they consider trash, simple as that.

Yeah looks like it maxes at 2x 32s for 64 GBs. As for price, IDK, haven't been watching DDR5 memory much.

Agreed mostly. I mean I WANT 400-500 nits, not because I game outside, but because after a few years a 300 nit screen is putting out less than 200 nits, and becomes an issue in even mildly lit rooms for me personally but that doesn't mean this screen is bad lol. Seems great to me, and frankly something has to give to hit a 5070 ti and Ryzen 9 in this price range.

I have a previous gen 4070 version of this laptop with identical screen, and when looking at all laptops in my price range at MC in-person, this screen was by far and away the best looking (minus OLED laptop screens), and was the main reason I ended up buying it (with 32gb RAM, lol). Yes, it's a 1200p screen but it almost looked 2k, which was dumbfounding to me; I couldn't believe it. Colors were amazing, brightness was just fine, but what really got me was how deep the blacks were when compared to other laptop screens in the same price range (and I'm talking ALL brands MC had on display, so well over 10 that were similar spec'd and that I was considering). I bought this to solely game on the road, so will never connect to a monitor, and the bonus of having a lower-res screen with a powerful GPU is that every game runs like butter, and again, for whatever reason, it feels like a higher resolution than the 1080p range. When I first bought it, that was the one thing that I thought might bother me, but I quickly got over it because what it looks like and how it feels when using it are what's most important; I'm still in love with my purchase. TL;DR - If it's the screen that has you on the fence, still go for it because it's beautiful and sharp. You will be pleasantly surprised. I hope this helps anyone on the fence, FWIW.
