Best use for this is to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving so that your oven isn't taken up all day with the task. You can also use it to slow cook ribs. IMO $20 is a fair price even if only use it once a year. Makes it much easier to cook big holiday meals in a small kitchen.

At this price, I don't expect it to be well insulated. Does it fry your hands if you touch it while it roasts at 400 degrees F?

UPDATE: I read some of the comments. It works as-advertised. It gets very hot- enough to cause serious burns.

Yeah, the removable roasting pan alone is worth $20 [aromaco.com] and it would be nice to have the option of roasting 2 large things at once separately without tripping the circuit breaker. (Conventional oven has it's own breaker switch)

I'm thinking that this could be also used as a large slow cooker/crock pot if you set the temp around 200F ergo the roaster should be a pretty useful addition in my kitchen. I'm in for one; thanks OP.

New to smoking, can this be used at lowest setting to keep brisket warm for the resting period?

That's what I'm buying this for. Everything I've read online says the "keep warm" temp is what you should use and will hold between 140-170. It supposedly gets too hot if you use turn the dial past "keep warm" to "150". I will be testing with a temperature probe before using for my first cook.

This is perfect timing since I just placed an order for the 22qt model on Amazon for ~$49. Cancelling that and ordering this since the length and width dimensions are the same and I don't need the extra ~1.5 inches in height.

This is one of those things customers need to understand is part of the price. Safety is 100% percent your responsibility, this product is made to get hot.

I use mine to warm up or keep warm other dishes while the turkey is in the oven. It's just a nice, big size for things too big for the slow cooker.

I haven't made a turkey in mine yet but I did do a decent ham for Easter. Came out perfect. I bought mine for $25 after Christmas 2024.

There are plenty of items that are insulated so the outside doesn't get too hot. Like your kitchen oven, for example. Kids and adults with dementia should not be around this thing. And even aware adults accidentally burn themselves on these el-cheapo non-insulated appliances. Does that clarify it sufficiently?
