I got this a month ago when they first showed up at Sierra. This rod is superior to most of the rods mentioned. Unlike the TFO pro it has a 10" grip, closed hook keeper, and the guide spacing is not as good. For all those things I prefer the Pro, but the blank is faster and more sensitive, the cork seems more premium, and the reel seat is nicer. They have a few other models available of the Tactical. Great deal at this price. Awesome soft plastic rod.

don't be sad, save your money. wish I had all the money back I've wasted on fishing gears over the last 29 years. nothing ensures you catch more fish, it's purely psychological.

For $100 this is one of the best options for sensitive rods. I used to think the way you did BUT after getting some mid range gear, the feel and technology is superior and will help you land more fish.

Which inshore rod is better than the TFO tactical in the $150-200 range?

Looks like the medium-heavy model is sold out but the medium version [sierra.com] is still in stock.

Mine just shipped. Can't wait to give it a try.

re - TFO rod
The medium power model is still available if that works for you. Medium power is usually fine for most inshore fishing.

I saw that one but isn't that the light and not the medium action?!
I couldn't find much info on the difference of the rods on the site for some reason.
Thanks tho!

Sorry, it looks like it's the medium light power [sierra.com], fast action that is available. This is rated for 6-12lbs line, 1/8-1/2oz lure.

I'm so confused by their site. I am looking for a Medium-Lite power, Fast action. However, they have three (seemingly) identical listings on their site with different part numbers. Anyone know how to tell the difference or is there something that I'm overlooking?
