These peltier coolers use a relatively high amount of energy to provide relatively little cooling. A real mini fridge with a compressor uses less electricity and gets things really cold. This will just cool things slightly.

Is this built to work while it's on a moving car? I believe the normal fridge needs to sit still for a while after being moved, before turning it on.

Teenage girls aren't buying these to keep ground beef refrigerated. They are buying to keep their makeup slightly chilled. They don't want a real mini fridge with a compressor on their vanity.

A real mini fridge with a compressor absolutely SHOULD NOT be used in a car, as the compressors can hydro-lock if they get moved around and too much fluid builds up in the wrong spot. (This is also why if you move a fridge around with a hand truck, you need to let it sit for many hours afterwards before plugging it in, it's an expensive mistake to make).

You're right, for a home use, this doesn't make as much sense, it's just a COOLER, but for travel...

Also, show us a compressor based one this small. The smallest I've ever seen without paying INSANE money for a custom job is the standard "dorm size" cube, and some people think that's too big (I don't, I love dorm and double-dorm size for office use, have used them for decades at work).

Also, if you like projects, you can always get one of these and add another layer of peltiers to increase the cooling. And power use, of course.

Trunk sized fridges are pretty common nowadays, for a couple hundred. Dont waste your money on this junk. If you're on the fence, look up how these work on y tube, even when they 'work' they're not very useful.

They keep my beer chilled cold, I use my minecraft one in my man cave when i know im going to use it, I keep it off otherwise or after I finish everything in it. But to get the maximum out of coolers like this, its best to fill it full of max capacity of cans, then the coldness transfers from can to the next can its touching, then they keep each other cold.

No doubt some people will be happy with this, just pointing out that people should know what they're buying. And that's a cooler that uses more energy than a full sized fridge to cool things slightly.

These types are terrible. You are not supposed to run them 24/7. They build up a lot of water in a week if you do though. I use charcoal packets to help but FYI if anyone was wondering that didn't have one

Not true at all I have 2 different brands and soda is pretty cold but the are mostly meant for cosmetics (or weed) that don't need to be 30 degrees cold.
