I would encourage anyone thinking of buying this set to do a deep dive on the reviews. Lots of people had problems with these discs. I was thinking of buying this set a few weeks ago and decided to just get digital copies instead so the faulty discs wouldnt be an issue.

***AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!**** I bought this last time it was on sale and there were 7-8 discs that were scratched and unplayable right from the factory!! They know about these issues and have let it continue now for years!! I even got a recplacement set and that had the same EXACT issues some even on the same discs! It would have taken 4-5 sets to possible "make" a set where all the discs would be playable. So you have been warned and keep in mind 4k players are MUCH more sensitive to scratches and circle marks from the double stacking from the cheap cases they use...They double stack the discs in the cases and that causes circle scratches on most of the top discs, yup a huge piece of ....

I would also encourage anyone who hasn't gotten into the series to just wait on this in general. From what I understand, it's extremely likely that GRRM will finish up the last two books within the next year or so. So if you can just wait a little while longer, you'll be able to read through all of the books first and then get this it an even better price.
