I think you don't appreciate the benefit of compact and foldable prong for better portability. Those prongs won't be scratching up stuff in a backpack, gym bag, car center console or purse. Plus a lot devices don't have the ability of 45w charging. My Samsung 25w charger charges my samsung galaxy a54 phone fully in like 1 hour 15 minutes and the phone tops at 25w speed. Lot of people believe it is best to stop charge cycles at 80% for most longevity so it may just take 45 minute to reach 80%. Lot of people also believe that charging so fast at really high watts hurts the battery in the long run. Heat hurts battery and 45w is definitely hotter. Anker also known to be safer and more durable than other lesser name brand.

Majority of low end tablets and phones, yes. Modern flagships all charge (PD, QC, etc.) at 30w+
Modern flagships? Not all people want to spend huge bucks on modern flagships. What does the modern flagship do that midranges can't do? Play games better that I don't care about. Open an app up fraction second faster. How much better can the cameras get? Human eye can only see so much. Even a "low end" Pixel 9a (retail $499 budget price) has a 23w max speed. Iphone 14 are stil being used and being sold new and it has 20w max speed. The expensive $829 iphone 16 has 20 watt max charge. Lot of people like midrange devices with 25w and will stick with them for years. Why constantly get a new phone every year when the update support is like 5-6 years?

People have survived many years without +45w charging. Patience is a virtue. How will I survive to wait 45-60 minutes?

Lets not forget that midrange phones have much better battery life over flagship phones that boast about "all-day battery life" like it is a huge achievement. 1 day battery life is poor battery life and a 45w charger doesn't fix that. My mid-range phones would get couple days on a single charge.

People still believe these internet myths about 80% charging, complete non-sense. Enjoy charging twice daily.
One person can't afford a phone with a battery that lasts all day, even when charged to only 80%....

It's wild that someone can't understand the perspective of someone holding negative views toward Amazon. There are in fact several places I can't purchase from because Amazon's complete takeover of the retail space has crowded them out of business.

I would just note for Samsung, the newest Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 still cap wired charging at 25w. There's probably a good reason they do it to maintain battery longevity with the current battery tech used. Faster charging generates more heat, which can be the worst enemy of Lithium based batteries.

"Charging your phone to 85% can be beneficial for battery health and longevity. Lithium-ion batteries, commonly used in phones, experience less stress and degradation when kept within a certain charge range, typically between 20% and 80%. Avoiding the extremes of 0% and 100% can help extend the battery's overall lifespan.
Here's why:
  • Reduced Stress:
Charging to 100% and keeping it there for extended periods can put extra stress on the battery, potentially leading to faster degradation.
  • Heat Dissipation:
Fast charging and high charge levels can generate more heat, which is detrimental to battery health. <--- Like 45W hot chargers!
  • Fewer Charge Cycles:
Constantly charging to 100% and draining it down to zero means the battery goes through more charge cycles, which can also shorten its lifespan.
  • "Sweet Spot":
The 20-80% range is often cited as the "sweet spot" for lithium-ion batteries, as it minimizes stress and degradation.
While some users might prefer the convenience of charging to 100% and letting it drain fully, limiting charging to 85% (or even 80%) can be a good practice to prolong your phone's battery life in the long run. You can always adjust your charging habits based on your usage patterns and needs."

It is simple science. Everybody knows this. I can't believe some people don't have a clue about heat effects and battery decomposition. On my Samsung phone, it literally has the battery protection mode in settings that states 3 options (basic, adaptive that stops charging at 80% when asleep and switch to basic when awake and MAXIMUM that stops charging at 80%). Samsung understands how battery works.

The Ikea ones are good but a lot larger than these mini ones.

25w is too low, but not because of wattage, but because they almost never include 20V. 30w and up generally include 20V and allow you to charge laptops and other devices in a pinch.

The 30w version of this is just as small and $2 more, I'd get that over this, for that reason.

Edit: went straight to Anker's site and got the 30W version for $2 more. No USB-C Cable, but I have like 30 of those so who cares. This is exactly why I dropped Amazon...Gave up Prime a while back and don't miss it except for rare moments like this. I don't mind waiting for shipping, but charging more just because I'm not in your stupid club pushes me even harder to other companies. F you Amazon.
Wow, you are really making a difference.

Thanks. Every little bit of pressure against mega corporations/monopolies helps. If you want to help too, you can call your representatives and let them know that you support breaking up monopolies like we've done throughout our country's history.

Can do that and benefit of doing are two different things.
Quick charge is a good idea if charging mid-day. 30 min vs 3 hours makes little difference for an overnight charge.
There are certainly use cases for different options. For me 25 w for several phone-only and 65 for two shared laptop-phone locations are sweet spots.
