Does not appear so. This is bundled together, not two separate items on the receipt.

This seems better than the previous Ryobi day deal where it was the 3 battery deal, charger, free choice of tool for $199.

This is $169 and but you're stuck with a tool you may or may not need. I don't know if I am overlooking anything.

If you're open to after market batteries, Project Farm did an analysis:

Edit: if the link isn't working, the video is titled "How Dangerous Are Knockoff Tool Batteries? Let's find out!" by Project Farm on Youtube.

This multi tool is one of the worst Ryobi tools, it's cheap, doesn't transfer the vibration to the blade well, awkward speed selector, poor blade lock. It doesn't get close to, say, DeWalt. I have nothing against Ryobi, but this particular too is underwhelming. Even if you have Ryobi, nothing wrong with getting some tools from a different brand. A DeWalt multi tool with 3Ah battery and a charger sometimes goes on sale for $100, much better tool.

1.5Ah battery instead of 3.0Ah, but this is on sale now at HD for $99.00. I'm swimming in ryobi and ridgid stuff, but just got the dewalt pruner. I have the ryobi multi tool and tend to agree with your assessment. This still a good deal with the lesser battery?

and the ridgid version is same price with 2.0Ah battery. Any thoughts on the dewalt vs ridgid?

DeWalt has a better blade lock and for $100 with bag, is a great deal. I use both DeWalt and Ryobi, there are some tools in each line that make more sense to get, economically or performance wise.

I have never had the Ryobi, and the Ridgid you linked to is the older version, the new version has a variable speed trigger like the Dewalt. I already had a Dewalt that I replaced a Milwaukee M12 Fuel with and bought the Ridgid for our motorhome but returned it and got another Dewalt. The variable speed trigger makes all the difference for me with a multi-tool, and the Dewalt has the best blade lock of them all. Milwaukee needs to go back and add a variable speed trigger and the M12 blade lock failed on me after less than a dozen cuts, that blade lock sucks.
